The October HFW Book Club Meeting is Coming Soon!
Hey bookworms! The HFW Book Club is meeting again on Saturday, October 14th from 9-11 am to discuss our next literary selection - Travels with Charley: In Search of America by John Steinbeck.
Michael suggested this acclaimed, American road trip memoir for our reading, and discussion this month. As always, we will be meeting virtually via Jitsi Meet, which allows you to join easily on any device - visit the Jitsi website or dial in by phone.

Wikipedia has a good introduction to Travels with Charley. Road trip! Charley the standard poodle is a fine companion and steals the spotlight at times. Steinbeck is best known for Grapes of Wrath, but Travels with Charley is a little gem of a book.
